Sweat test

The test can be performed while running or cycling. It determines your sweat rate* and the sodium concentration in your sweat. This test is primarily aimed at ultra-endurance athletes. The protocol involves a 30-minute warm-up, followed by a 20-minute period during which patches that collect sweat are applied to your forearms. Ideally, this 20-minute segment is performed at an intensity close to race pace. Including the explanation, the appointment lasts just over an hour in total. You can also choose to perform the sweat test immediately after a graded exercise test by selecting the "sweat test" add-on here.

*Your sweat rate depends on environmental conditions, exercise intensity, and your level of acclimatization. The test is particularly useful for comparing your sweat sodium concentration against normal values. The results can help you fine-tune your sodium intake during exercise.
